Le Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, Maincy, France, 1658-1661. 

Like most baroque châteaus built in France during the 17th Century, Vaux-le-Vicomte’s design and construction was commissioned to multiple architects and designers. This particle project was significant because it was the first time the architect Louis Le Vau, the landscape architect André le Nôtre, and the painter-decorator Charles Le Brun worked together on a large-scale project.
